At this stage we will be releasing only 1 dozen hatching eggs per breed each week.
We’re delighted to be sharing Cream Legbars again this year, after holding them back last season to refine some traits.
Genetic testing of our flock is ongoing. At this stage, we can assure you that the Cream Legbar chicks you hatch from our eggs will lay blue, and our Black Copper Marans eggs will not hatch out any unwanted white chicks. See the listings for more details.
A note on timing: preorders will be dispatched in the order received, once the birds start laying and pending fertility testing closer to Spring. We will be in touch when your eggs are getting close to confirm the proposed date suits.
Our season is short for a couple of reasons. One, for the health of our birds, we don’t hatch out of season. Two, for the success of your hatches, we don’t post eggs once the weather warms up. Optimal storage temperature for hatching eggs is 12-15°C. In summer, there is a high likelihood many embryos will be rendered unviable by exposure to heat in transit.

We express post Australia-wide each Monday during breeding season, in carefully packed Eggspress Safe foam. You will always receive a tracking code on the day they’re sent.
Farm gate pick-up is available in-season, by appointment.

A note on egg colour: Eggs are photographed for the website at the start of the season, when shells are darkest. For current egg colour, please ask or see our latest social media posts. Prior to packaging, you will receive a photograph and video of your exact eggs.
