Could not recommend Lay Me A Rainbow more highly

What a special journey we’re having, from provision of such beautiful rainbow eggs for our broody silky and incredible support all the way through (the heat was a challenge for our Mumma but she was amazing and so was Jane). Here are our babies so far- they are just so precious. Such a dream to have rainbow eggs in our mix of hens and there has been nothing more special than seeing the excitement on my children’s faces as they see little chicks emerge, such a thrill!! I can highly recommend this for a very special adventure to share with your family.

Delightful from first contact

There is always a risk with purchasing eggs that require postage, and I have had my fair share of horrid experiences now but Lay Me A Rainbow was delightful from first contact.. My first dozen eggs were put under a broody and we didn’t have a very good hatch, multiple factors involved outside of anyone’s control – What I did appreciate though, was Jane’s wisdom and knowledge and help – She has been such an inspiration to me with my own chook keeping. I knew Lay Me a Rainbow was quality and worth the investment so I went again with another dozen, this time in the incubator for a little more control on my end – and we hatched 5 beautiful healthy chicks and I am so grateful! Posted eggs can be risky, but Lay Me a rainbow is worth it.

Super fast replies, lots of tips for creating the healthiest chicks over fb messaging but also on her insta page. Incredible hatch rate for posted eggs. Out of 12 eggs, 11 pipped! But only 9 hatched as mumma kept getting off the nest to be with the chicks. The Best Eggs

I’m fairly sure they are only posted in eggs in Aus with the highest hatch rate. I ordered a dozen cuckoo Marans, 10 hatched and 5 were Pullets. Interestingly, 12 grew to full term though humidity was low at the time. Can’t wait for my next shipment Hands down the best eggs and healthiest future Chookies available.

I bought a dozen black copper Maran eggs from Jane , I live in QLD so all that travel the eggs arrived perfectly! 11 developed, 2 passed in the incubation process (my first time incubating) but the chicks are so incredibly beautiful and Jane is such an inspiration of a chicken keeper, I’d recommend her over and over her eggs are pure magic.

Highly recommend Jane/Lay Me A Rainbow..

I have been in contact with Jane since June and she has been very honest and supportive with every question I have asked. No question went unanswered and Jane’s response time was always within 24 hrs or less.Jane definitely goes above and beyond which is very appreciated and shows she is caring. Jane even advised me to wait for my eggs as she wanted a particular breed to have better fertility, however I am inpatient and still asked too send at least two eggs to try my luck instead of the four in the pack and I am so lucky that I did hatch one of them. I now have my new layers that are a week old today and I am obsessed with them and I may have to get more eggs

Jane not only provides you with beautiful eggs, but friendly and helpful advice. I also appreciated her email updates on the fertility rates of her eggs, it’s clear she prides herself on good quality and it shows. I incubated 18 eggs from her and 17 started developing with a final hatch of 15 fluffy chicks. The auto sexing of her cream legbars is really distinctive too. Reliable Breeder

I sourced a dozen Copper Marans, Cuckoo Marans as well as Olive Eggers from Jane and from our very first interaction she was professional, accomodating and made the entire process seamless. The eggs were extremely well packaged and had great viability travelling all the way to Broome, Western Australia. I was promptly given tracking numbers and collected the eggs in our rural town with ease. I am incubating for locals in my area, so I was proud to share my breeder source as Lay Me A Rainbow whom take such care and pride in their flock and lines. The colours of the eggs provided were exquisite! The unwrapping of each egg revealed an even darker and richer brown or olive than the last! Lockdown day of incubation arrived and I had an unforeseen yet (in hindsight) comical occurrence of the chicks escaping their separate mesh bags that were keeping the different breeds in groups! Oh my goodness! I then had four different breeds all just staring at me through the viewing window as I helplessly watched on. I contacted Jane for her assistance and she was extremely helpful in sharing her knowledge and experience to help me differentiate them as they grow. I also had one chick with what I thought was a slight issue, to which she gave her suggestion to give it time and she was completely right. The chick was fine in less than a few hours! I highly recommend Lay Me A Rainbow as a reliable source of fertilised eggs. You can take pride in knowing you’re sourcing eggs from beautiful flocks and from someone who takes time out of their busy day to ensure customer satisfaction and assistance even after the transaction has long finished.

Jane has been fantastic to deal with. This season I bought 3 dozen fertile eggs, from three different breeders. I had the highest hatch rate for starters, then any questions along the way have always been met with enthusiasm and eagerness to help. One of the other breeders by contrast I only hatched 1 from 12 (died anyway) and the breeder didn’t want to know me after the transaction. My experience so far with LMAR is that all the chickens have turned out with great temperaments too. Would highly recommend for rainbow eggs, you get what you pay for here unlike others. I’ve just recently dealt with Jane whilst purchasing some fertile eggs. I was a bit hesitant to try eggs from a long distance as you never know how they are treated during transport. I took the gamble and can say that out of a dozen eggs, 11 were fertile, so very good fertility.
